Making art and raising awareness - activities that come so naturally that feels like play.
The Conscious Lab has come together to inspire children and their families to think how they have special capacities to share with the world and how they can offer their actions in service of this huge project - The Global Goals. Through interactive art exercises, children are challenged to open up their outlook and to commit to becoming inspiring people in their communities.
DURATION: 60 minutes session
TARGET: children start to 6-10 years old
Educators have the ability to guide the positive energy of learners to make change possible. When learners are empowered with knowledge, critical reflection tools and media literacy, they are better equipped to take action and make changes for themselves and others around the world. Educators can nurture students’ curiosity and provide them with tools and resources to inquire, understand, engage and communicate the importance of sustainability. This understanding empowers the individual and collective action at the local, national and international levels.
In this approach, educators become facilitators of learning, with students empowered to become self-directed as they explore each issue individually and collectively.
